The cycle business was small in those days. Everyone knew everyone and business was conducted at a leisurely pace and in a friendly manner. Mohammed Ahmed Saley started in the cycle business in 1925.

 

In 1927 a second shop was opened ;and still stands today at 12b Voortrekker Road. By the late 40s the family owned and managed no less than 8 shops. Never a family to be left behind by the times. The Saleys diversified their products and goods in line with changing trends. But cycles remain a major part of their business.

 

Today Mr. A.SALEY owns and runs  SALEYS PRO CYCLE in Vereeniging . DEALERS OF GIANT, FUJI, MERIDA and FELT BICYCLES   

He says ‘anyone is welcome to come visit the store’.
